DO NOT ACEPT FAILURE

DO NOT ACEPT FAILURE

BY Pastor Cesar Castellanos

The purpose of thoughts of failure is to destroy and steal your faith and hope so you do not have the encouragement needed to do the work of God. One thought of failure leads to depression and makes the person feel miserable. They feel that everything they do is of no importance and that the only way out is death. The ten spies allowed their minds to be invaded by thoughts of failure when they said, "But the men who had gone up with him said, 'We can't attack those people; they are stronger than we are'" (Numbers 13:31). Thoughts of failure always make people see the impossibilities of a situation and make every circumstance appear to be a giant. God's thoughts always lead to prosperity. The author of Proverbs said, "The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty" (Proverbs 21:5). A person who thinks with diligence never sees failure but success. He knows that if God is with him, he can conquer, because God and himself form the majority.

Fill your mind with the Word of God

We should listen to and read the Word of God on a daily basis. We should fill our minds with the thoughts of God which are imbedded into His Word. The way in which we face problems is not by thinking about them continually, because worrying only separates us from faith. Instead, we must release all of our burdens and anxieties in the hands of God.
All those who have entered into the dimension of faith have a positive mind. They can see circumstances through God's eyes and not allow themselves to be intimidated by the appearance of things. Within them is great motivation, confidence, and an assurance of triumph. They know God is on their side and that He will not allow them to fall into the hands of their adversaries. Joshua and Caleb had the assurance that if they faced the giants who lived in Canaan, they would overcome them and eat them like bread. They knew they would easily overtake all of their cities. Generally speaking, a leader of faith takes the road less traveled and becomes a person who does great deeds.

Renew your mind

The ten spies who contaminated the people with their way of thinking said, "The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size" (Numbers 13:32). Their minds were set on the obstacles and not on what God could do.
Do not accept failure. Have goals for each day, week and month. Do not allow any negative thoughts, and do not speak any negative words. If you achieve a days' goal, extend it for a week, then a month, and, if possible, a year. Notice how you become an overcomer, how you begin to overcome things in yourself and in all things you set out to do.
God wants us to renew our minds and our understanding as we renounce every thought that does not come from Him. We need to allow the Holy Spirit to have control over our lives so we have the mind of Christ.
Your mind is a mine full of riches, and God has deposited it inside of you as a very precious treasure. You are superior to any other creature in the universe because God has granted you a mind with the capability of accepting, believing, and hearing His voice. You are also able to be sensitive to God's voice and His Word. When this takes place, the mind is renewed.

Have a spiritual mind

"But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it" (Numbers 14:24).

In order to have a spiritual mind, it is necessary for it to be filled with the Word of God. This will impart in us the faith necessary to give each day a name that will be of blessing: thoughts inspired by the Holy Spirit to speak the supernatural as we face different circumstances. Joshua and Caleb had another spirit, that is, a different way of thinking in front of others. The spiritual mind believes and accepts what God has spoken. To go from a natural mind to a spiritual one, we need to change many of our bad habits which are only good for raising walls of doubt and unbelief in the light of the blessings God wants to give us.
